Every year, UCSA nominates undergraduate students to sit on UC systemwide committees that deal with critical policy matters ranging from admissions policy and financial aid to mental health, equity and diversity, and more. These are issues that affect every student in the UC system, and it is vital that our institution has dedicated, vocal champions on these decision-making bodies.
Systemwide committees vary in the frequency and location of their meetings. Most meetings are held at the UC Office of the President headquarters in Oakland, although some meet via conference calls. Travel expenses for student representatives will be covered by the UC Office of the President as needed.
Descriptions of all committees may be found here. (The ones you see below are ones that have undergraduate vacancies for 2024-25.) Applications are due August 10, 2024.
