All three students nominated must have transferred from a California Community College and have at least 12 months of study remaining at UC. The term of appointment will be for one-year and extend through the end of spring 2021. The first meeting will likely take place in March 2020.Description: In April 2018, the University of California (UC) President and the California Community Colleges (CCC) Chancellor signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focusing on improving student transfer between the two segments. This joint task force will monitor implementation of the provisions as well as assess progress and effectiveness of activities outlined in and deriving from the MOU. Task Force members will discuss options for a guarantee of transfer admission, UC Pathways+ implementation, development of the UC Transfer Pathways Associate Degrees, UC-CCC campus partnership programs, and student-focused academic programs. Following an initial convening in early 2020, members will be asked to meet periodically to review interim progress on relevant transfer-related policies and programs.
