Get Ready for the 2010 Election

This election is a time for students to have their voices heard about who will be their representative going into the November General Election, as well as have an impact over the outcome of state ballot initiatives. These local and state primaries, as well as the propositions, will have an impact on current and future California students because these decisions will affect higher education. Young people need to have their voices heard consistently and use this election to gear up for November.
This is your how-to guide: Nov. 2 will be a critical decision-making time for the California voters. At this time the people of the state will have their say in various issues that will have an affect on the future of California and its citizens, including present and future college students. This includes voting on the legalization of marijuana, getting rid of the two-thirds vote needed to pass the state budget and funding for higher ducation.
This manual then serves as a guide to best prepare you for the June primaries and help you look forward to fall.
